The WYC Banquet provided a great ending flourish.  Thanks to Don, Wayne, Steve, Beth, Jonathan, Terry and all our volunteers... and our members who bid, sang, turned grinder handles, laughed and toasted each other!  Good fun!

Because of the superb, multi-year efforts of many volunteers and Board members, we have tremendous dock and parking facilities.  The big projects are almost done.  The "A" dock residents will be as proud of their digs as everyone else very soon!  Thanks to Randy, Steve, Jonathon, Beth and a special nod to Bert.

These facilities are 15-20 year assets.  The Board was able to keep rate increases low and similar to past years' despite the recent large expenditures and more coming this year.  As mentioned at the meeting, this was possible because of effective cost control and an opportunistic parking contract.  Our rates remain a tremendous value compared to slip fees around the lake.  When you factor in our high quality racing program, the camaraderie, the sailing skills building, location, parking and now the new docks, WYC is easily the best deal around.  Of further note, WCSC paid off their WYC guaranteed mortgage with a $200,000 check presented at the Banquet!

This year, we will focus on fleet strengthening, retaining and growing our race management capabilities and enhancing the member experience.  A good start for all this is the website change.  The website's many volunteers will populate content and refine it over the next few weeks.  This effort is big and really highlights the range of skills...  and commitment... we have at this club.  Thanks to OT, Dallas, Jonathon, Beth, Ernie, Don, Andy, Dave and many others.

Our winter seminar program will start in early January. Stay tuned . . .
