Wayzata Junior Racing Team
WHO??? The Wayzata Junior Racing Team is all those Youth Members of the Wayzata Yacht Club age 8 to 18.
WHAT?? (What boats, that is?) We race Optimists, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and Laser Standard rigs, and the Club 420 with main and jib, and with trap and spin. Also the occasional J22 and Sonar. No Sunfish or West Wight Potters.
WHERE? Just look at the west end of the parking lot!
WHEN? Ice-out to November. Maybe longer, depending if Al Gore is right. Actually, most of the summer racing is under the helm of the Wayzata Sailing School, in connection with their classes. Participation in regattas isn't limited to WSS students, but you're on your own for coaching if you're not.
WHY? Just ask one of the kids!!

WHASSUP for next year?? Look for the Upper Midwest Junior Olympics at WYC (July 5-7), the Opti Nationals at MYC, and the Club 420 Nationals at WYC (July 20-22)!! More information will follow as the schedules are made for next year. Also see the TCYS web page.
