RULES
All J/24 International Class Rules are in effect for all races governed by the WYC Sailing Instructions, except as modified below:
5.1 MODIFIED
FROM: The crew shall consist of not less than three persons and total crew weight (in swim wear) shall not exceed 400 kg at weigh-in prior to the start of a regatta. A crew nominated or listed for a regatta or a series of races held over consecutive days including any lay day, shall remain the same throughout the event unless substitution is authorized by the race committee.
TO: The crew shall consist of not less than three persons and not more than five persons OR the total crew weight (in swim wear) shall not exceed 400 kg (882 lbs.). Children under 12 do not count toward total crew number calculations.
8.1.1 MODIFIED
FROM: The use of more than one mainsail, one genoa, one jib and one spinnaker, or the alteration thereof, during a regatta; Damaged sails may be repaired or replaced at the discretion of the Race Committee. In addition, one storm trysail and/or one storm jib as described by Rule 6.17 may be carried.
TO: During any regatta, a boat may only upgrade their sails once, and may use any previously used sails. The championship series is considered one regatta.
8.1.5 MODIFIED
FROM: Use of Loran, GPS, or similar position fixing devices.
TO: Use of Loran, GPS, or similar position fixing devices except for use of analyzing data after and not during races.
SCORING RULES
The following WYC Sailing Instructions are amended for the 2010 season:

Revised August 18, 2011 by majority vote of J/24 Fleet #1:
Any J/24 missing a WYC club race while attending a J/24 regatta not on Lake Minnetonka may be scored for any missed club race with the average number of points received for all races in that series.
Any Fleet #1 J/24 missing a WYC club race while attending a single day training event sponsored by J/24 Fleet #1 on Lake Minnetonka may be scored for the missed club race with average number of points recieved for all races in that series.
For 2011, Commodore Cup Race 3 on October 8th (J/24 Fleet #1 sponsored 2011 U-Gotta Regatta) will not be scored for the J/24 fleet.
ADMINISTRATIVE RULES
Charitable donations from the fleet checking account must be approved by two thirds of boat owners.
The fleet treasurer is required to provide an annual report of expenses and an accompanying bank statement.
