Night Race October 13

WYC Night Race

The WYC 2017 Night Race is re-scheduled for Friday, October 13. Yes, Friday the 13th!

After conversations with the Sheriff Water Patrol and the City of Wayzata, and in an effort to be a good neighbor, we are rescheduling the Night Race in order to prevent potential scheduling conflicts with James J. Hills Days activities. For safety reasons, there are additional requirements to participate, so please take time to read NOR and prepare to register by:

  • providing proof of insurance certificate,
  • obtaining required equipment, and
  • fulfill the safety checklist requirements.

Revised Notice of Race is found here.

The 2017 Star of the North Regatta will be held Sept 15, 16, 17 on beautiful Lake Minnetonka as usual.  After a very successful 10-race regatta in 2016 we're really looking forward to this next one.  We have several ideas in the works that will continue to enhance the competition and continue to expand this great event.

So, save the date.  We expect this to be awesome!

Wayzata Ranked Top U.S. Sailing Town

Sailing World magazine has ranked the City of Wayzata a top sailing town in the nation.  Our busy racing schedule, commitment to youth sailing and our community sailing center, our four season sailing, and great social community all contributed to the ranking.  Congratulations to everyone on...well...being you.
